The premiere of Black Panther set to take place in Lagos, Nigeria
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, a movie from Marvel Studios, has its Lagos premiere before going on general distribution on November 11.
Recent booking announcements show that Disney has partnered with the Africa International Film Festival and FilmOne Entertainment to hold the world premiere of their new action film in Nigeria.
When the film became an award-winning masterpiece, Moses Babatope and Kene Okwuosa, co-founders of FilmOne Entertainment, expressed their happiness in a statement.
For FilmOne, the West African premiere of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is a proud accomplishment and a milestone we will never forget. We are eager to collaborate with The Walt Disney Company to make this event possible, so even after all our efforts on achieving success in theaters in Africa, we’ll still be looking for ways to present the film.
“This is invaluable for the continent of Africa,” she said. “It symbolizes the bridge between global film industries.”
Continuing, Ude said “We are excited and proud to be a part of the premiere of this milestone film here in Africa.” The company couldn’t be more excited to bring Black Panther: Wakanda Forever to Lagos this November.
