SASSA Status Check
The Sassa grant is for people who are currently unemployed and not receiving any source of income
The President declared the National State of Disaster as a result of the Covid-19 global pandemic. In this regard he introduced a special Covid 19 Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD) of R350 per month for 6 months to be paid to individuals who are currently unemployed, do not receive any form of income, social grant or UIF payment, etc. SASSA status check for R350 is also available.

- Visit the Sassa website https://srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/status
- Click on the “Application Status” icon and then the “click here to check online” icon
- Fill in the required details they must be the same as the ones used during the applications process
How to Check Sassa Status for R350 Payment Dates in January and February, as well as What to Do If You Don’t Have a Payment Date. Those that were successful will receive a message or SMS saying that they completed the procedure successfully and are ready to receive money. If you see that January, February, and March have been approved: It’s simple, simply proceed below on that page to check your payday field for an indicator or a date of when they will receive your money after login in to verify your status.
How To Send Your Appeal
Appeals are there if your application was denied the first time around and you want to be considered again, basically a second chance. Appeals for the SASSA R350 grant are open.
1. Go to the SRD Grant website.
2. Scroll down to ‘Application for reconsideration’
3. Click on the yellow bar
4. Fill in the required fields
If you’ve already lodged an appeal, you will then not need to send another or contact the SASSA office.
